What to bring
Things you Need To Carry while Joining BIMS
- Valid passport and with a minimum six-month validity after the date of travel.
- Immigration letter
- BIMS letter of acceptance
- 4 standard passport color photos, 2×2 inches in size
- Housing assignment letter from BIMS
- Visa (if required)
- Valid driver’s license
- Debit/credit cards
- Healthcare provider card
- Hand sanitizer
- Masks
- Gloves
- Thermometer
- Sufficient cash in hand for emergency use
- Cell phone, charger
- Contact phone numbers
School Supplies
At BIMS campus, you will get all the needed school supplies. However, if you wish, you may carry the following:
- Blood-pressure cuff
- Medical stethoscope
- Pen torch
- Reflex hammer
- Eye charts
- Tuning forks
- Wristwatch with seconds (for pulse monitoring)
Technology
- Windows laptop/Apple MacBook and/or Tablet
- Cell phone, spare chargers and batteries, headphones, etc.
- Router
- Surge-protector strip with 5–7 outlets
Clothing
Students need to have the following clothing items with them:
- White coat
- Scrubs
- A few sets of formal clothing for both men and women
- Dress shoes
- Closed shoes for labs
- Jackets/sweaters/hoodies for the classroom
- Clothing for the gym and outdoors
Miscellaneous Items
You will need to have the following items when you move into your accommodation. Some can be purchased on campus. Note that your accommodation will not provide linens so you must be prepared:
