BIMS is located in the Caribbean island nation of Jamaica. Our campus and student housing are a very short drive (fewer than 10 minutes) from Sangster International Airport (MBJ).
BIMS is a four-year MD program: two years of Basic Sciences and two years of Clinical Sciences.
Normally, once a complete application online is submitted and the application fee is paid, our Admissions staff will reach out via email and call to 1) follow up on supporting documents (official transcripts and letters of recommendation) and 2) schedule a pre-interview. This may take only a few days depending on how quickly an applicant submits the needful.

The accreditation process is pending with CAAM-HP.

BIMS alumni will be eligible for residency and licensure throughout the world, including Jamaica, the United States, Canada, India and the United Kingdom.

Beginning with the second academic year(Fall 2024), BIMS has Jamaican, West Indies, Academic Achievement and Public Service scholarships awarded to new, incoming students. The value of the scholarship awarded varies based on class size, demonstrated economic need and other factors.
