  • ACCELERATED REVIEW PROGRAM (ARP) SCHOLARSHIP for BASIC SCIENCES.
  • WCI SCHOLARSHIPS (The White Coat Investor Medical School Scholarship) FOR US CITIZENS.
1. EXTENDED INAUGURAL MERIT-BASED SCHOLARSHIP - Applicable to 2026 BATCH OF STUDENT ADMISSIONS - SPRING (January), SUMMER (May), & FALL (September):

“Extended Inaugural Merit-based Scholarship – Up to US$70,020 covering 94.34% of TUITION FEE during the Year 1 & 2 at BIMS is offered to the students enrolling for this 2026 Spring, Summer & Fall.”

Award amounts based on academic performance (GPA).

2. PRE-MED SEGUE SCHOLARSHIP: SEGUE to MD program.
  • Valid for the year 2026 ADMISSIONS.
  • 100% Tuition Fee paid towards the Premedical Degree Course.

3. EARLY BIRD SCHOLARSHIP – applicable during every SUMMER, FALL & SPRING.
  • A Financial aid of US$10,000 to US$2000 is offered by the BIMS under this title.
  • This Scholarship is meant to be assisting the students to offset the cost associated with their accommodation, meal, and travels.

4. GOVERNOR GENERAL’s SCHOLARSHIP at BIMS: for economically disadvantaged students in Jamaica.
  • In 2021, the Founder of BIMS School of Medicine, Dr. Guna Muppuri was one of those Jamaican citizens honoured with the prestigious national honor, ORDER OF DISTINCTION (OD). The Order of Distinction (OD) was conferred upon Dr. Muppuri by the office of the Governor General of Jamaica for his sterling contribution to the field of healthcare and Medicine in Jamaica.
  • Under this program, a total of US$40,000 per student will be disbursed under this title over the 4-year academic tenor, payable as US$10,000 each year for 4 years.

5. PRIME MINISTER’S SCHOLARSHIP at BIMS: for economically disadvantaged students in Jamaica.

6. PRAVASI BHARATIYA (INDIAN DIASPORA) SCHOLARSHIP – for the qualified Children of the INDIAN DIASPORA in Jamaica, The Bahamas, Turks & Caicos and the Cayman Islands.
  • In 2019, the Founder of BIMS School of Medicine, Dr. Guna Muppuri was one of the 30 members honoured globally with the prestigious Indian Diaspora Award, a Presidential Honor, Pravasi Bharatiya Samman, by the then Hon. President of India, His Excellency Shri Ramnath Kovind. The Award was conferred upon Dr. Muppuri for his sterling contribution to the field of healthcare and Medicine to his adopted homeland Jamaica.
  • This PRAVASI BHARATIYA Scholarship at BIMS, is meant to assist the students coming from the Indian Diaspora families living in Jamaica, The Bahamas, Turks & Caicos and the Cayman Islands:
  • A total of US$24,000 per student will be disbursed under this title.

7. JAMAICA’S HIGH COMMISSIONER IN NEW DELHI, INDIA’S SCHOLARSHIP.
  • In reciprocation to the recognition, Pravasi Bharatiya Samman (Indian Diaspora Award) received by the Founder of BIMS Dr. Guna Muppuri from the Government of India, the founder’s family of BIMS conceptualized this scholarship award for the Indian Nationals enrolled at the BIMS School of Medicine in Jamaica.
  • This Scholarship shall be recommended by the High Commissioner of Jamaica stationed in New Delhi, India. Other Honorary Consuls for Jamaica in India are permitted to select the qualified candidates but only through the Jamaican High Commission in New Delhi, India.
  • A total of US$24,000 per student will be disbursed under this title.

8. INTERNATIONAL START UP FESTIVAL (ISF) INDIA SCHOLARSHIP.
  • This Scholarship shall be recommended by the Board of ISF, India to the Indian Nationals in India.
  • The International Startup Foundation’s (ISF) mission is to reimagine the startup revolution by empowering entrepreneurs and fostering a robust startup ecosystem that will enable them to reach their full potential.
  • A total of US$24,000 per student will be disbursed under this title.

9. ANSAMCAL FOUNDATION CARIBBEAN MERIT SCHOLARSHIP – for the meritorious Students originating from the West Indies.
  • In 2021, for the entire Caribbean, the Founder of BIMS School of Medicine, Dr. Guna Muppuri was chosen for the award, “THE LAUREATE of 2021 ANTHONY SAGBA AWARD IN THE FIELD OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP” by the ANSAMACAL FOUNDATION in Trinidad & Tobago. Along with the honor, he received TT$500,000 which was instantly pledged by the Founder’s family to establish the corpus fund to provide financial aid for the students of Caribbean origin attending BIMS School of Medicine in Jamaica.
  • Reciprocating to his recognition, the Founder’s family of BIMS has come up with ANSAMCAL FOUNDATION MERIT SCHOLARSHIP award, which is meant to assist the students coming from the families of Caribbean origin but to be recommended by ANSAMCAL Foundation in Trinidad & Tobago.
  • Four Students will be considered from each of the Caribbean Nation and a recommendation made by ANSAMCAL FOUNDATION in Trinidad and Tobago is mandatory.
  • A total of US$24,000 per student will be disbursed under this title.

10. JAMAICA FRONT LINE DEFENDERS’ SCHOLARSHIP – a perpetual program for the Children of Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), Jamaica Defence Force (JDF), Jamaica Fire Brigade, Immigration and Jamaica Customs.
  • This Scholarship is meant to assist the students coming from the families with the parents employed to the Jamaican Constabulary Force, Defence Force, Jamaica Fire Brigade, Immigration and Customs Department.
  • A total of US$24,000 per student will be disbursed under this title.

11. HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS’ SCHOLARSHIP – a perpetual program for the Children of the Healthcare professionals in Jamaica.
  • This Scholarship is meant to assist the students coming from the families with the parents employed or serving Jamaica in the capacity of a Health Care professionals such as Doctors, Nursing and other allied health professions.
  • A total of US$24,000 per student will be disbursed under this title.

12. MINISTER of EDUCATION’S SCHOLARSHIP for Jamaican Nationals.
  • One Student per Parish in Jamaica shall be selected by the office of the Hon. Minister of Education, Youth & Information, Government of Jamaica.
  • A total of US$20,000 per student will be disbursed under this title.

13. TEACHER’S SCHOLARSHIP @ BIMS for the Caribbean Nationals.
  • Under this title, a total of US$20,000 per student will be disbursed.

14. GLOBAL CITIZENS SCHOLARSHIPS: For the Citizens from USA & CANADA and all other Nations globally.

Qualified global citizens are entitled to either one of the following scholarships:

  • PRE-MED SEGUE SCHOLARSHIP
  • EARLY BIRD SCHOLARSHIP – applicable during every SUMMER, FALL & SPRING.
  • ACCELERATED REVIEW PROGRAM – ARP SCHOLARSHIP.
  • Under this title, a total of US$10,000 to US$15,000 per student will be disbursed.

15. VETERANS SCHOLARSHIPS: Veterans and their Children, from all Nations.
  • Under this title, a total of US$15,000 per student will be disbursed.

16. ACCELERATED REVIEW PROGRAM (ARP) SCHOLARSHIP for BASIC SCIENCES.
  • Under this program, all students are entitled to Full Review of the Basic Sciences at an additional cost of USD $8,850 / Semester, subsidized by 50% cost v/s the initial costs USD $17,500 per semester.

17. POST GRAD SCHOLARSHIP by BIMS for UAB HEERSINK SCHOOL OF MEDICINE to pursue master’s, MS in Biomedical Innovation (Artificial Intelligence or Digital Health in Medicine) or Global Health or MPH Programs at The University of Alabama Birmingham in the United States.
  • Under this title a scholarship of US$12,000 towards the UAB’s master’s programs mentioned above.
  • US Citizens or legal Permanent Residents of the United States, willing to join UAB Master’s degree program may be qualified by Federal Loan Programs. They need pursue the Federal loans on their own.

18. WCI SCHOLARSHIPS (The White Coat Investor Medical School Scholarship) FOR US CITIZENS.
