On 12 Feb 2024, BIMS entered an MoU with the UAB establishing a formal affiliation to enhance the relationship between the Parties through the promotion and development of collaborative research programs, academic and cultural exchange programs, and other cooperative activities and assistance in areas of mutual interest and benefit, include any or all of the following:


BIMS (SOM-HP) has entered into a five-year agreement with the Case Western University in Ohio, USA to have their innovative Anatomy teaching platform established at BIMS in Montegeo Bay, Jamaica, the very first HoloLAB for the entire Caribbean and Central America (HoloLens by Microsoft, HoloAnatomy learning with Augmented reality technology), a game changer in Human anatomy learning.

BIOPRIST Group, the parent entity of BIMS, signed an MoU with ‘The UNIVERSITY of the WEST INDIES, MONA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES, KINGSTON, JAMAICA’ exploring the collaborative partnership for student clinical clerkships and rotations in all the teaching hospitals in Jamaica. This arrangement will suit students who are unable to complete clinical rotations in the United States due to Visa restrictions.
The clinical rotations in Jamaica will be as per the American Association of the Medical Colleges – AAMC.
