On 18th October, 2022, BIMS signed an MOU with “Marnix E Heersink Institute of Biomedical Innovation at Heersink School of Medicine at UAB– The University of Alabama at BIRMINGHAM in the United States to offer the MS in Biomedical Innovation degree; the first of its kind in the world.
BIMS takes pride in offering the option to combine MD and MS (Biomedical Innovation) degrees. BIMS also stands out to be the very first Near Shore Medical School in the entire Latin America and the Caribbean to offer this joint MD & MS Program with the MS (Biomedical Innovation).
Students at BIMS will have the option to graduate simultaneously with their MD degree from BIMS and a MS in Biomedical Innovation from UAB.
Students will have an option of taking the 2 year MS (Biomedical Innovation) masters degree program from years 3 and 4 for a fraction of the tuition fee compared to MD tuition fee.
Students will have the option to choose any 2 majors of the 5 subjects offered in Biomedical Innovation such as: Artificial Intelligence AI in Medicine, Digital Health, Brain Computer Interfacing, Precision Medicine and Healthcare Innovation.

BIMS takes further pride in announcing that it signed an agreement with the CWRU to utilize the intellectual property developed by them in Medical Education up on 7th November 2022.
CWRU was the pioneer in HOLOANATOMY Software Suite in collaboration with Microsoft by using their Augmented Reality Lens – Microsoft Hololens.
BIMS becomes the very first Medical School in the entire Latin America and the Caribbean to offer this fully integrated and interactive-technology-driven medical education program.
BIMS has allocated 2500 sq ft of lab space for multiple HOLOANAOTMY SUITES.
